We have pledged to make our recruitment process inclusive and accessible, to interview disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for a role, to anticipate and provide reasonable adjustments, and to support staff who acquire a disability or long term health condition to remain in work.
Our application form asks every candidate whether they need adjustments for interview, and we ask early so we can plan properly. Where a candidate meets the minimum criteria for a role and has a disability, we guarantee an interview. We make adjustments to interview format, location, timing, and pace where needed.
Many of our residents live with long term mental health conditions or learning disabilities. Being a Disability Confident Committed Employer is consistent with the kind of service we run, one that takes accessibility, dignity, and reasonable adjustment as a baseline rather than an afterthought.
