Diverse Services Limited was founded in 2022 to do something specific, to raise the floor on what a supported-living placement should look like for adults with serious and enduring mental-health needs.
Diverse Services Limited was founded by Sukhbir Singh, who brings twelve years of experience managing both regulated and unregulated care services across West London, including learning-disability, mental-health, and substance-misuse provision.
Sukhbir Singh is of South Asian descent. Working in care across West London, he witnessed first-hand the lack of understanding of mental health within minority communities, the silence, the stigma, the slow referrals, and families navigating crisis without support. Diverse Services Limited was created to address that gap: to support all vulnerable citizens regardless of background, and to help reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.
That founding mission shapes how the organisation operates. We work hard to make our service genuinely accessible, culturally, linguistically, and clinically. We invest in staff training so that frontline teams understand the communities they serve. And we hold ourselves to a higher standard than the sector minimum, because the people who come into our services have often been let down by the standard minimum.
Sukhbir Singh remains directly involved in the operational running of the service. He takes referral and commissioner calls personally, attends placement discussions, and is reachable to placing authorities at any reasonable hour.
Diverse Services Limited exists for three reasons. The homes, the digital infrastructure, the clinical team, all of it is in service of these.
Particularly within minority and underserved communities, where mental health support has too often been late, fragmented, or culturally inappropriate.
By demonstrating, in our own properties, what consistent, well-staffed, therapeutically informed supported living should look like at scale.
To commissioners and clinical teams. Responsive to referrals, transparent about outcomes, and honest when a placement isn't right for our service.
"Local authorities have been asked to accept a sector minimum that nobody would accept for their own family. Diverse Services exists to be the change. Higher standards. Sharper response. More for commissioners, not less. Because the people placing our most vulnerable adults deserve a partner who takes the work as seriously as they do, and an industry willing to raise the floor instead of defending it." Sukhbir Singh Owner & Managing Director, Diverse Services Limited
Most supported-living providers take a placement fee and stop there. Diverse Services Limited puts its own profits back into the service. Psychology Lead. Assistant Psychologists. Nutritionist. Senior Activities Coordinator. None of those roles are billed to commissioners as extras. They sit on staff because we think they should be the standard, and we are willing to fund them ourselves to make that the case.
It is why our weekly programme has structure, not gaps. It is why our support plans are co-produced and reviewed monthly. It is why we think out of the box about what a service user actually needs, while the sector keeps doing the same thing. Higher quality at sustainable cost is a choice, and we make it every day.
A good placement is one a service user is ready to leave. Every part of the service is built around that goal, from the self-contained flats every resident already lives in, to the life-skills programme that runs every week, to the planned move-on service we are building next.
Every resident has their own ensuite bedroom and a kitchenette in the room. Shared kitchen and lounge to be social when they choose. Rosewood House in Hounslow is fully-flatted as our move-on property, with built-in kitchens for residents ready to live independently.
Budgeting, CV-writing, travel training, benefits, employment routes, cooking and nutrition. Run by the Activities Coordinator with input from Psychology and the Nutritionist.
High to medium to low to floating support. The next conversation, where clinically possible, is always about stepping down. The keyworker stays the same as the level changes.
We are investing in a Diverse Services-built independent-living service. Self-contained flats for residents ready to leave supported living, with our team still in the background as a safety net. A move-on option owned and designed by the provider, not bolted on from elsewhere.
